"The Zula Patrol: Under the Weather"/"Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity":
U-M Exhibit Museum Planetarium. Every Monday-Friday. The Zula Patrol (12:30 p.m.) is an animated audiovisual exploration of weather, both terrestrial and interplanetary. Black Holes (2:30 p.m.) is an animated audiovisual show that begins with the formation of the early universe and the birth and death of stars and concludes with a simulated flight to a supermassive black hole lurking at the center of the Milky Way. Followed by a brief star talk.

Tucker's Cafe/Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Collection. Every Thursday, June 5 through September 18. Dancing in the street to 50s music played by DJ Danny Wilson. Also, displays of several dozen classic, antique, and restored automobiles by various area car clubs and individuals. Raffle.

7th Annual Riverfolk Music and Arts Festival. This traditional-music festival begins at 10 a.m. with an "Old Time Fiddle Contest" for 3 age divisions (12 & under, 13-17, and 18 & over), with finals at 2 p.m. Performers include San Francisco pop-rock singer-songwriter Vienna Teng (8 p.m.) and Corey Ledet & His Zydeco Band (4 & 10:45 p.m.), a Louisiana zydeco dance band. Also, folk duo Gemini (12:30 & 4 p.m.), acoustic country quartet Bill Bynum & Company (1:30 p.m.), pop-folk singer-songwriter Billy King (3 p.m.), the local Cuban jazz ensemble Tumbao Bravo (1 & 4:15 p.m.), veteran Detroit folk-style singer-songwriter Jan Krist (6 p.m.), the Manchester newgrass, western swing, and old-time jug-band The Raisin Pickers (7 p.m.), and the New York-based Celtic rock and bagpipe band MacTalla Mor (3 & 9:30 p.m.). Also, an art fair with many local artists, puppet shows by the traveling theater troupe Catskill Puppet Theater (2:30, 5:30, & 9 p.m.), a boisterous kids' parade (5 p.m.), and a large "Healthy Kids" tent, featuring crafts, music, and Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum activities.

31st Annual Dixboro Fair:
Dixboro United Methodist Church. This community fair features the popular barnyard petting zoo, a silent auction, tours of the Dixboro UMC, old-fashioned games, kids games, homemade cakes and pies, live music, and more. Also, the annual "Artisans on the Green," a juried arts and crafts show of award-winning Michigan artisans, with paintings, jewelry, woodworking, dolls, ceramics, baskets, clothing, garden art, quilting, glass, textiles, florals, and much more. Entertainment includes animal magic by Colors the Clown (10-11 a.m.), bluegrass by the Traver Creek Ramblers (10 a.m.), barbershop music by the Cherry Hill Quartet (11 a.m.), kids music by Mr. G (noon), Christian rock by New Creatures (1 p.m.) and All for Him (2 p.m.), gospel by the Cass Community Church choir (3 p.m.), and Christian rock by Dixboro UMC's Joyful Noise praise band (4 p.m.).

Ann Arbor Cage Bird Club. Display of live exotic birds from around the world, with sales of birds and bird-related items. Veterinarians and other experts are on hand to answer questions. Also, Animal Kingdom Veterinary Hospital veterinarian Steve Marsh discusses "The Northern European Eagle Owl." Informational displays by representatives from various national avian organizations.
