Films, Comedy and Performance Art

From standup to improv, and everything in between, comedy is flourishing in the auditoriums and clubs of Ann Arbor. And with the U-M's new Media Union, a growing number of multimedia performances are appearing on The Calendar.

"Poetry Night in Ann Arbor VIII": Neutral Zone.

Poetry readings by renowned New York poet Marty McConnell, Old Dominion University poetry professor Tim Seibles, 2003 Ann Arbor Youth Poetry Slam champ Adam "Pacoî Hanlon, and teen poets from Ann Arbor Wordworks and the VOLUME Poetry Project. Jimmy Pardo: Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase.

Dec. 11-13. A frequent guest on late-night TV, this West Coast comic is known for his engaging personality, expressive face, improv skills, playfully challenging sparring with his audience, and hilarious railings on all things moronic, including himself. Preceded by 2 opening acts. Alcohol is served; the Friday & Saturday early shows are nonsmoking shows. old VFW Hall (below Seva restaurant), 314 E.
