Nathaniel Dett Chorale: St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.

Named for the renowned early-20th-century African Canadian composer, this award-winning ensemble is the first Canadian professional choral group dedicated to Afrocentric music of all styles, including classical, spiritual, gospel, jazz, blues, and folk. Program TBA. Also, tomorrow (10 a.m.-noon), the chorale's founder, Brainerd Blyden-Taylor, leads a program to introduce choirs and individuals to the art of singing African American choral music. "Higher Realms": Ann Arbor Concert Band.

James Nissen directs this local volunteer ensemble in his A2CB Fanfare, Paul Creston's Celebration Overture, Robert Smith's Angels, from the Realms of Glory, and Van der Roost's Canterbury Chorale. Guest conductor Stephen Roberts directs the band in Mark Camphouse's A Dakota Rhapsody, Robert Reynolds's arrangement of Morten Lauridsen's setting of "O Magnum Mysterium," Paul Hindemith's Symphony in B-flat, and Sousa's "Nobles of the Mystic Shrine."
