Fairs, Shows, and Sales

There's plenty of art and art fairs in Ann Arbor those other 361 days a year. A busy museum and gallery circuit provides many openings and shows to choose from. Each month you'll find antique shows, charity sales, and community festivals.

21st Annual Farm Toy Show: Saline Future Farmers of America.

This show and sale of farm toys is aimed at both kids and serious collectors. Includes NASCAR items, tractors, pedal-push tractors, Beanie Babies, and farm vehicle, harvesting vehicle, and truck collectibles. Vendor tables available. Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds, 5055 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. Admission $3 (ages 6-12, $2; age 5 & under, free). 429-8030, ext. 2343.

7-8:30 p.m.

Chinese New Year's Celebration: Ann Arbor Chinese Center of Michigan.

This festive all-day party kicks off with kids crafts, followed at 4 p.m. by student performances. Also, a buffet dinner (6 p.m.) and a family-friendly movie (8 p.m.). WCC Morris Lawrence Bldg. Towsley Auditorium, 4800 E. Huron River Dr. Tickets $12 (kids ages 4-11, $6; kids age 4 and under, free) in advance and at the door. 769-9068.
