May 2: Mark Duval
Indie Americana singer-songwriter from Kalamazoo whose repertoire also includes covers by everyone from Gillian Welch and Iron & Wine to various Michigan songwriters. He is accompanied by singer-guitarist Traci Seuss.

May 3: Sam Corbin.
Lansing pop-folk singer-songwriter whose influences range from Leonard Cohen to Bob Dylan.

May 9: Kristy Hanson.
Grand Rapids folk-rock singer-songwriter who is accompanied by bassist Mike Chiaburo.

May 10: Charlene Kaye
Energetic local singer-songwriter whose songs range between and sometimes mix together a wide array of styles, from classical, swing, and soul to pop and rock. Accompaning herself on both piano and guitar, she is joined by cellist Taryn Wood, who also provides vocal harmonies.

May 16: Hana Malhas and Chris Dorman
Double bill. Mahlas is a local singer-songwriter, originally from Jordan, who writes intimate, thoughtful songs and accompanies herself on piano, guitar, and occasionally violin. Dorman is a Lansing singer-songwriter who writes about his friends, family, and local culture.

May 17: Kyle Norris
Local roots-country singer-songwriter who writes richly imagined, emotionally potent songs that reflect influences as diverse as Ani DiFranco and Dolly Parton.

May 23: Laurel Premo
U-M student singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose songs draw on Celtic, Appalachian, Cajun, Scandinavian, and bluegrass influences.

May 24: Anna Ash & the Family Tree
Acoustic pop-folk band led by this local singer-songwriter who has a highly regarded new CD Hello Friend (from Bird Above).

May 30: "Brown Family Cabaret."
Popular local singer-songwriter Sari Brown is joined by her brother, jazz comedian and singer-songwriter Andrew Brown and R&B singer-songwriter and pianist Doug Brown.
