May 2: The Terraplanes

May 9: NoXcuses.
Local classic rock, blues, and R&B band.

May 23: Drivin' Sideways
Drivin' Sideways. Veteran local band fueled by vocalist Pontiac Pete Ferguson's alternately soulful and ornery vocals. Their country-based repertoire still features lots of classic honky-tonk, but they also cover everything from Chuck Berry and Johnny Burnette to the Beatles and James Brown. The band's guiding presence seems to be Elvis - including both large chunks of his repertoire and his attitude that any music he did suited him just because he did it. The band also includes guitarist George Bedard, bassist Chris Goerke, drummer Mark Newbound, and keyboardist Jim King.

May 25: II-V-I Orchestra
Veteran local big band, led by saxophonist David Swain, that plays late-1930s swing and 1940s R&B. 6:30-9 p.m.

May 30: Bowdish Brothers
Local country trio led by singer-guitarist Mike Smith and featuring 2 other members of the Cadillac Cowboys, bassist Gary Munce and pianist and mandolinist Kelly Schmidt.
