May 3: The Great Lakes Myth Society
Local folk-rock sextet whose music is an eclectic mix of Appalachian music, prog-rock, and sea shanties. Led by singer-songwriter-guitarists Tim and Jamie Monger, who also play accordion and mandolin, respectively. The band recently released its 2nd CD, Compass Rose Bouquet. Opening act is Matt Jones, a local pop-folk singer-songwriter.

May 9: The New Green
Local pop-folk octet led by singer-songwriter Steven Clausnitzer that's been compared to the Beatles, Wilco, and Sufjan Stevens.

May 10: Starling Electric
Local retro-psychedelic orchestral pop by this local quartet led by singer-songwriter Caleb Dillon.

May 17: Jamie Register & the Glendales
Motownesque soul music by a band led by local singer-bassist Register. Opening act is Legends of the Fall, a local jazz fusion dance band featuring members of Nomo. Tonight's Food Gatherers benefit includes a $3 discount on the cover with the donation of a can of food.

May 24: Nomo
Local 9-piece ensemble that plays a mix of Afrobeat with Sun Ra- and Coltrane-influenced jazz. The band recently released its Ubiquity Records debut, New Tones. Opening act is Matt Nisbett, a local alt-country singer-songwriter. 7:30 p.m.-1 a.m.
