This local music club features live music 5 nights a week, with a varied assortment of local and out-of-town rock 'n' roll, blues, reggae, and dance bands, 10:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m. (unless otherwise noted). Also, occasional early shows, usually 7-10 p.m. Karaoke on Mon. (except May 5); closed most Sun. If there's an opening act, the headliner usually goes on stage between 11:30 p.m. and midnight. Cover (except "Showcase Night"), dancing.

May 1: Mifune
Madison rock jam band. Opening act is Chicago Afrobeat Project, a 9-piece Afrobeat jazz ensemble from Chicago.

May 2:
Ann Arbor Soul Club. Classic soul music by the local DJ duo of Brad Hales and Robert Wells.

May 3: Dante
Local hip-hop MC. Opening acts TBA.

May 5: "Cinco de Mayo Gender Bender Prom."
Headliner is Scream Club, a hip-hop punk band from Olympia, Washington. Opening acts are Pussy Pirates, a local all-female avant-jazz punk quintet, and 2 local techno DJs.

May 6: "Showcase Night."
With 4 different young local bands.

May 7: Todd Deatherage
Local country-rock singer-songwriter originally from Dallas whom the Village Voice dubbed a "honky-tonk Elliott Smith." Opening act is American Mars, a classy Detroit Americana quartet . May 8: Northwick. Local quartet that plays rock, classic rock, and blues-rock. Opening act is The Setup, a local pop-rock quartet.

May 9: Ann Arbor Dub Project.
Local reggae-rock band. Opening acts are 3 other Michigan reggae bands, Maddis, Burnin' Man, and Mystic Man. May 10: Scotch Bonnet. Downriver psychedelic garage-rock band led by singer-songwriter Scotty Karate. Opening acts are the Detroit blues-rock quartet The Universal Temple of Divine Power, the Ypsilanti punkabilly metal quintet Chapstik, and the Detroit blues and rock band Hotness.

May 13: "Showcase Night."
With 4 different young local bands.

May 14: Trembling Earth
Local psychedelic southern-rock band. Opening acts are Ultraviolet Hippos, an Ypsilanti jam band, and Treetown Underground, a local acoustic roots-music jam band.

May 15: Love Meets Lust.
Ferndale New Wave electro-rock trio. Opening acts are Lightning Love!, a local indie minimalist pop trio, and Tonight, an Ypsilanti electro-French pop band.

May 16: Freer.
Detroit R&B-inflected pop-punk quartet band. Opening act is Friendly Foes, a Ferndale indie powerpop trio.

May 21: Fields of Industry
Grand Rapids quartet that plays ambient folk-rock. Opening act TBA.

May 22: The Wall Cloks.
Detroit-area indie rock quartet. Opening acts are Michael Blair, a minimalist pop singer-songwriter from Lincoln Park, and Sounds of the Czars, a local Tiki-flavored surf-rock lounge quartet.

May 23: Three Blue Teardrops
Rockabilly/psychobilly garage trio from Chicago. Opening acts are The Blue Rubys, a local almost-all-female country-rock quintet, and The Mark Set, a rock 'n' roll band.

May 24: Baatin
Detroit hip-hop MC. Opening acts TBA.

May 27: "Showcase Night."
With 4 different young local bands.

May 28: My Dear Disco
Local dance septet, formerly known as Toolbox, that plays a blend of techno, funk, and jamming known as nu-jazz.

May 29: "Zuma Hi-Fi"
Local DJ Billy the Kid plays reggae records.

May 30: "Eat My Brain Productions"
With an array of area punk bands and sideshow acts TBA.

May 31: The Bang!
Dance party with this local DJ collective that plays garage and 70s rock.
