Rock 'n' roll covers and originals by this popular, veteran band from Dearborn.

Crazy Wisdom Tea Room: Sam Corbin.
Lansing pop-folk singer-songwriter whose influences range from Leonard Cohen to Bob Dylan.

The Earle: Rick Burgess Trio
Jazz ensemble featuring pianist Burgess, drummer Robert Warren, and bassist Russel Tessier.

Elbow Room: Tickled Fancy Burlesque Co.
Local burlesque troupe. Opening acts are Arson's Blazing Carnival, a local carnival sideshow act, and DJs Damon and Plasma Bubblegum.

The Firefly Club: Johnny O'Neal Trio
Full-bodied blues- and gospel-inflected jazz by an ensemble led by this veteran Detroit pianist and vocalist known for his blend of technical virtuosity and interpretive sensitivity. O'Neal has played with the likes of Milt Jackson, Art Blakey, and Wynton Marsalis, and he appeared as the legendary pianist Art Tatum in the acclaimed Ray Charles biopic Ray. Tonight's show is an Oscar Peterson tribute. His trio includes 2 local jazz luminaries, drummer Pete Siers and bassist Paul Keller.

Goodnite Gracie: "5:01 Happy Hour Party"
(5-8 p.m.) With the Ken Cox Trio, a Detroit jazz trio led by veteran composer-pianist Cox.

Goodnite Gracie: Lester Blues
Local guitar-based blues band.

The Habitat Ultralounge: Bugs Beddow Band
Versatile horn-driven R&B, boogie-rock, blues, and jazz ensemble led by veteran Detroit trombonist Beddow.

Leopold Bros.: The Great Lakes Myth Society
Local folk-rock sextet whose music is an eclectic mix of Appalachian music, prog-rock, and sea shanties. Led by singer-songwriter-guitarists Tim and Jamie Monger, who also play accordion and mandolin, respectively. The band recently released its 2nd CD, Compass Rose Bouquet. Opening act is Matt Jones, a local pop-folk singer-songwriter.

Melange Subterranean Bistro: The Groove-Matist
Retro, Top 40, and hip-hop dance party with DJ Mechial White.

The Necto: "Frequency"
In the main room DJ Hardy plays Top 40 and dance music records.

The Quarter Bistro: Mike Moore
Jazz guitarist.

TC's Speakeasy: Back Forty.
(See review.) Local acoustic string jam quintet that plays a brand of twangy roots-folk music fused with elements of jazz and psychedelic rock that it calls "down-home funkgrass." Tonight the band celebrates the release of its new CD Big Orange Tent. Opening act is Strange Arrangement, a progressive indie rock quartet from Chicago.
