The Blind Pig: The Bang!
Dance party with this local DJ collective that plays garage and 70s rock.

Cavern Club: DJ Helluva & DJ Nik Beats.
Local DJs spin old-school rock.

The Circus: "Live Rock 'n' Roll Karaoke"
Karaoke with prerecorded rhythm tracks and live guitars and keyboards by the Hartland trio Double Take.

Club Above: Boywife
Punk-rock band from Ypsilanti whose music draws on Chinese pop, Japanese classical music, and Mexican regional music. Opening act TBA.

Conor O'Neill's: The Witch Doctors
This local blues and R&B band led by singer-guitarist Thayrone, best known as the host of the nationally syndicated Bone Conduction Music Show, plays what Thayrone calls "way-strong mojo, ritualistic barroom blues healing."

The Earle: Rick Burgess Trio
Jazz ensemble featuring pianist Burgess, drummer Robert Warren, and bassist Russel Tessier.

Elbow Room: That Mistake I Made
Local band that describes its music as "weird shoedubby postrock no-practice jam stupidity." Opening acts are Wildcatting, a Downriver punk band, and Oblisk, an experimental psychedelic shoegazer band from Detroit.

The Firefly Club: Mr. B, Steve Nardella, and George Bedard
It's been 25 years since these 3 local roots-music luminaries played together as members of the Steve Nardella Band. Since then, each has gone on to make his own mark, Mark "Mr. B" Braun as an internationally renowned exponent of classic boogie-woogie and blues piano, Nardella as the leader of the blues-based Steve Nardella Rock 'n' Roll Trio, and Bedard as a prime force in a succession of superb bands, from the Bonnevilles to Tracy Lee & the Leonards to George Bedard & the Kingpins. They get back together tonight - with additional musicians TBA - for a show that no fan of American vernacular music can afford to miss. This is their 6th almost-annual reunion concert, and earlier ones have drawn packed houses, so get there early, or be prepared to cool your heels standing in line. 8 p.m.-1 a.m.

Guy Hollerin's: Thornetta Davis
Soulful, rocking Detroit-style R&B by a band led by Davis, a powerful, Etta James-style vocalist.

The Habitat Ultralounge: Newsmaker
Motown party band.

Live at PJ's: "Dance Night."
With DJ Big Daddie Reggie.

Melange Subterranean Bistro: The Groove-Matist
Retro, Top 40, and hip-hop dance party with DJ Mechial White.

The Necto: "Frequency"
In the main room DJ Hardy plays Top 40 and dance music records.

The Quarter Bistro: Mike Moore
Jazz guitarist.

TC's Speakeasy: "Ann Arbor Music Center Presents"
All ages admitted until 6 p.m. With several Ann Arbor Music Center student rock bands, including HMS Epidemic, Shady Lane, and others TBA. The evening lineup features 2 Day Escape, a local alternative rock band,and other bands TBA. A benefit for the Crossroads Music Festival. Noon-2 a.m.
