Campus film societies

Several U-M film groups screen movies on campus, mostly on weekends during the school year: Animania (Japanese animation, www.umichanime.com/), M-Flicks (763-1107, www.umuac.org/m-flicks/index.html), the Center for Chinese Studies (764-6308, www.ii.umich.edu/ccs/events_programs/chinesefilmseries), the Center for Korean Studies (764-1825, www.ii.umich.edu/cks/eventsprograms/filmseries), and the Center for Japanese Studies (764-6307, www.ii.umich.edu/cjs/eventsprograms/film).

Michigan Theater

Cinema program in the 1,700-seat restored historic theater, built in 1928, and the 200-seat screening room, including independent, classic and foreign films, and silent films with live organ accompaniment on a restored Barton organ.
